The cables are tensioned and fastened to the concrete outside borders, once the concrete has been proven to have developed strength and before the service loads are applied.
Benefits of post tensioned slabs include layout and service flexibility, cost savings, lighter structure, faster construction (saving time), and so on. Clients benefit the most from this low- cost technology since it allows for bigger open areas and boosts building efficiency for contractors.
